Why visit Bundaberg?

Bundaberg is a vibrant Queensland town, located just 4 hours drive or a short 50-minute plane flight north of Brisbane.

Bordered by the Burnett and Elliott Rivers, Bundaberg is the beating heart of the Wide Bay–Burnett region. Its idyllic climate and affordability make Bundaberg a popular travel destination for people of all ages.

Made famous by rum and ginger beer, Bundaberg was built off the back of the sugar industry. Today, with a population of about 100,000, Bundaberg also boasts award-winning gins, beers and ciders. It was also home to the great aviator Bert Hinkler.
Regarded as the southernmost gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, the Bundaberg Region’s Mon Repos beach is home to the most significant loggerhead turtle nesting population in the South Pacific region.

Blessed with Lady Musgrave and Lady Elliot Islands at its doorstep, Bundaberg is also a fantastic spot to marvel at humpback whales as they make their annual migration.

Fertile soil, clean water and fresh air make our home in Bundaberg, Queensland, an ideal growing climate for macadamia nuts, an Australian native.
