This year Macadamias Australia has been proud to be associated with a new Bundaberg Region event “Farm Flavours”.
Held on our farm, this event celebrated Father’s Day and helped to raise money for the AEIOU Foundation.
AEIOU provides strong advocacy at both State and Federal Government levels to help raise awareness and increase the financial support for children with autism and their families.
Set amongst the macadamias groves, families were able to share a picnic hamper with Dad and enjoy local jazz entertainers.
Those that came also had the unique opportunity of enjoying local wine, Bundy Brewed Drinks and various foodstuffs grown and created within our region (including our fabulous flavoured Macadamia nut collection). Bundaberg Region Council – Community Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Judy Peters said it was very rewarding to be able to present the AEIOU Foundation with $2500 raised at the Bundy Flavours event.
“Introducing a new event is never easy, so we have been more than pleased with the success of the very first Farm Flavours,” Cr Peters said. “All hampers available on the day were sold-out and all reports were that everyone had a fantastic time and enjoyed the delicious array of goodies in their hampers. Cr Peters said Council hoped to make Farm Flavours an annual event as part of Bundy Flavours. Macadamias Australia welcomes the opportunity to host this worthy event again next year – hope to see you there.
